I took a much needed hiatus from online poker following the WSOP, but in the past couple of weeks I've played online more than usual. I made two final tables a couple of Sundays ago (one in the 750k and one in a WSOP Europe main event qualifier, both on Full Tilt) which was a good day, but still frustrating. First, I bubbled the Main Event satellite which was paying out two $12,500 London packages - I got third. ? Then, I got 9th in the 750k, which was good for 12k-ish, but not what I was looking for after weeding my way through 4000+ donkeys. All in all, it was a nice little Sunday, but I couldn't help but throw the laptop when I lost my final coinflip!

I watched the UFC fights last night and was totally annoyed with Brock Lesnar's taunting of Heath Herring after he whooped him. The fact that Herring made it through all three rounds after having a giant mongaloid like Lesnar on top of him for the majority of the fight is pretty impressive. Even though he got pummeled, Herring was extremely tough to finish the fight, so I really thought the way Lesnar pointed and laughed after the last round was pretty bush league. I suppose those infantile theatrics are leftover from the WWE... Conversely, I think George St. Pierre showed typical good sportsmanship after he demolished Jon Fitch. Even though I prefer to see a show of good conduct I think it's a little strange to see them hug/congratulate one another immediately following such a brutal bloodfest.  Poker News
