Hola, bitches. Recently I participated in the US Poker Bowl which concluded last week at the Palms in Las Vegas. It was a simple idea for a tournament, really: Take 25 teams representing different U.S. cities of 6 players on each team who aren\'t even from their team\'s city and divide everyone into 5 conferences with 5 teams each and each conference play a 30 person 3 table tournament with 2 players from each team at each table, then play each of the 3 tables down to 3 players and those 9 combine to create a final table for the conference that plays down to a final player whose team in turn is granted entry into the playoff round which is the same format as the 3 table first round except now it includes the 5 conference winning teams and the final player of the playoff round wins $600,000 for their team. Simple.

Because this is a new idea and structure for a televised tournament, it certainly could have been run more efficiently, but I still enjoyed the concept of a team tournament in online poker. My team was solid with myself, neighbor and bracelet winner Brandon Cantu, Joe Cassidy, Theo Tran, Tim West and Ryan Young. Theo was the only one to make the last table, and he ended up playing well all the way to heads-up play before he busted on a dramatic final call with second-pair. So close to the money!

Anyway.. I\'m in Niagra Falls Canada for the World Poker Tour event here. Day one went well most of the day, as it was basically me and Jordan Morgan amidst some weaker players and locals. Of course, once I got up to 50,000 from my 20,000 chip starting stack, I decided to have a mini blow up, bluffing my shit off to about 25,000 amongst other mistakes. I got as low as 7,000 before I made a little comeback to 21,500 to end my day. I am playing extremely well, I know this much; I also know I still have consistency issues. Poker TV

Check back in to see how my tournament goes..

I\'ll try to update you guys enough on whats happening with my poker road... and the longer I wait between blogs generally means I will write more. Some weeks I will write very frequent blogs but they may only be a few words of wisdom... bottom line, check back in with me as much as you can! You don\'t want to miss any nuggets of learning.

Also, I\'ll try to have pictures as much as possible of my recent haps and mishaps: Today, check my Tao bender (was I hallucinating here?), and my new car. 500 horsepower, So excited! Holler.
