OK yall it's been a while so we have a little catching up to do.  Ummm... I won!

Finally, I have gotten that proverbial monkey off my back, and I am playing pretty much my best game.  It feels great when things are falling into place!

My win came a week ago at commerce in the $1.5k buy in, which got about 245 players.  Early in the tourney I was pretty low and chatting with friends about never giving up and respecting all the chips you have, as anything can happen and in poker a big chip stack is only a few double ups a way. Poker TV

Later in the day I was able to build a big stack and got up to about 85k when I flopped a set on a J82 board with 22, turn was an 8 and fortunately I had a big double up through A8.  From there I started amping up my aggression and things were just falling into place.

Things actually got pretty sick.  At one point in the tournament, I actually 4-bet pre-flop 4 hands in a row!  The first time there was a raise and re-raise before me, I pick up AK and push, no callers.  The next hand, another raise and re-raise by the same player before me, and I 4-bet cold AGAIN, this time I had the QQ.  Jacks really couldn't make the laydown and I eliminated a player.  The very next hand, I raise with TT, Ted Lawson 3-bets, and I go all-in.  He calls with AQ and I flop a set.  The fourth hand it's 3-bet to me and I have so many chips I just ship it again, this time with AQ!  AA calls me, however, and I finally lose one.

Clearly now I have a massive chip lead.. a bit later there is a raise and a flat call, I decide to ship it with TT and the flat-caller instantly calls all-in with slow played KK.  No problem BAM Ten on river.  Sometimes poker is just easy.

I entered the final table with a good chip lead, and the only other name at the table was John Phan really.  Being my toughest opponent I was happy to see him blow off some chips and bust in 9th place.  Also we had a last longer bet interestingly enough, and I scooped that up.  We grinded down to 3 handed and I was lucky to pick up KK vs. AQ against my tougher opponent to get me heads up.  The heads up was a breeze and didn't last too long when I picked up TT again and got my opponent to call off all his chips with A2.

I'm so happy!  I knew this was gonna be a good year.  I always wanted one of these Commerce bronze horse trophies too... they are definitely the best online poker trophy in my opinion.

This win has given me full confidence in my ability to be player of the year this year... I'll be writing another blog soon about my other big finish which came just a few days after my win!  Also, the LAPC main event is on right now and I've made day 3 with above average chips.  I'll discuss these things soon, until then, good night happy flops holleraturboy
