Rolled up in Stud Hi
I'm pretty terribly at stud. I thought about reraising on 5th, but I thought that would basically tell him I could beat jacks up. I think raising 6th looks even stronger. Thoughts on how to maximize here?

Just jam 5th and be done w/ it. The bets don't get bigger so might as well give him a chance to give you the max. I mean he won't fold and if he has (JJ) or (66) he'll cap vs. you here so you might as well let him try.

def raise on 5th, as played I call 6th and the river as I figure J's up is likely the worst hand he was raising on 5th

jam 5th here as villain could easily have a jamming hand himself. If he has trip 6s, trip jacks or nines we make a lot. He could easily have slow played AA or KK in the hole as well, which I've seen at these stakes before. His whole range we are ahead of and getting money in great. The way you played it, it's hard to tell when to do now since we don't really have a lot of info about his hand. He could of raised 5th with a lot of hands.

Isn't hero's board a little too scary for villain to raise 5th with a single big pair? Assuming he's a thinking villain of course. This strengthens the argument for jamming 5th tho, since if we expect villain to have 9s up or better he may cap, and if he folds a hand that strong at least hero avoids a punch in the gut like 6th st.

Here's how I play stud hi: whenever I think I have the best hand I bet, raise and put in as many bets as possible. This accomplishes two things; it gets more money in the pot and it forces people to pay to draw out on you.

The only thing I would add is that I like to do this as soon as possible.
