Default Stuttering C-Bet

Jeremiah Smith and John Kim,

Long time listener.

I'd like to hear your thoughts on delay C-betting the turn. Specifically, where you open the pot then some percentage of the time decide preflop that your going to check the flop, continue on the turn.

I'm using this as part of an overall strategy to agress my game and attempt to get my bet turn percentage a little higher than my bet flop after opening.

I'm min betting the flop quite frequently in 6 max, when an opponent starts reacting by floating my flop c-bets routinely, I start moving more of my c-bets to the turn (against the villian) which seems to be effective as fewer floaters will do so on the turn.

personally i think delaying your cbet to the turn is more appropriate for flops that you miss but have some good outs/equity and its a board that hits your opponents range quite hard. eg: you raise AKdd in CO, bb defends. flop QsTd7s and bb checks to you. its pretty tough for him to have none of this and you may get c/r'd by sets, AQ+, flush draws etc. if he checks turn again you can fire and get him to fold alot of smaller pairs. we can just 2barrel guys that float us alot, thats not a huge problem.

(sorry if its not a great example, i havent spent very long on this post )

Im not JS or JK, but
I agree with journey - it really depends on the board, while adding it depends on your holdings. But, what percentage of the time is your opponent going to check to you on both the flop and the turn after you check behind on the flop?

Would love to hear more on this on the show (or here if the CP fellas want). There are some serious complications that can come from giving up the beating lead...
