We wrapped up production on the audiobook version of The Mental Game of Poker, and it looks like the release date will be in a couple of weeks.
I gotta say, having read this book now, about four times at least, and having listened to it, about eight times it seems like, the changes to my game were noticeable and immediate, making it noticeably immediate. The cool thing about it? It left me feeling good.
For you guys and gals that will be headed to the WSOP and intent on sitting in the same chair for as long as you can with your headphones on, put the audiobook version of The Mental Game of Poker on your summer listening list.
If you do not become a champion at the tables, at least you will walk away knowing a bit more why deja vu happens and how all of a sudden you will snap to attention after driving your car for the last eight to eleven minutes like a zombie only to finally exclaim to yourself, "How the fnck did I get to this intersection?!? I can't recall driving at all for the last six minutes...."
We didn't skimp on the intro music, either. We got James Brown's band leader for the JBs, David Matthews, to give us a slice of original homemade deep funk to help you count it off.
It clocks out at about 5.7 hours of listening, so it goes very well with a deep run, natch.
