Biggest Game I Ever Played
Last night I lost my mind and sat with Ivan Demidov and Fricke in a 8 game, 40/80. came in on the stud round and was able to reraise / semibluff Demidov when my door Jack paired on fifth. won about 170. Then in a HL hand against an unknown player, started with A 3 5 and could not hit another 8 or better card on the next four streets and called down like a monkey. which took my stack down to 350 or so. then were at 40/80 NLHE and im obv not rolled for that and didnt want to give Fricke a stroke so I quit. stared with 500 and ended up wiht 350, in just a few hands, anyways it was sort of a lark and since that 500 wasnt my rent money I guess it was worth the thrill.
It was kind of fun and I guess worth it allthough I admit it ws foolish given that my whole roll was on the table, I obv dont rate to do do well, and I didnt really have enougth to maximize a really good hand. I really wish I was rolled for this game and could sit for a while and maybe learn something, but its back to the .5/1 grind for me.

This thread could probably be hijacked in a good way by people telling their stories of playing way above their bankroll. I have played $400 per hand Pai Gow at NYNY...I sat at $10/$20 NL on FullTilt with $1,000 when my entire account only had $4,000 in it (It was mostly on a dare)...I have had both winning and losing craps sessions of +/-$5,000 when my lifestyle clearly does not allow for that.
I've got plenty more.....

Yea I dont mind it being a hijack of what not to do. BUT, for me its an occasional indulgence. I wanted to play birdguts in a ten twenty the other week so I did. It is really foolish given my roll on stars and tilt is usually around 500.
but isnt it fun when your brain starts squirming around in your head and your heart is pounding thru your chest. im a fairly conservative guy but I guess I got a little gamble in me. Its a real thrill for me, once in a while, and this isnt my rent money. I have never really gotten slaughtered in a game like this, but at the same time I dont really have the roll to sit for a while and learn anything.

You had your whole bankroll on the line (500 - left with 350) and you are now playing 0.5/1? That's 3 buy-ins??

I had a $1,500 bet on a teaser in the Indy/Chicago Super Bowl which hung in the balance as the Colts had the ball on the 4-yard line with around one minute left. Passing up a sure field goal that would have lost me the wager, the Colts ran it on 4th down and were stopped inside the 5-yard line. No one scored after that and I won the bet.
