Isildur1 vs Brian Hastings
isildur and hastings had a huge HU plo match last night, that lasted for about 4.5hours. the results, Brian Hastings +$4.2m!!!
Isildur had won some money earlier in the day so he's only down $3m!!!!!!
all i can say is SEXY!

Yeah, nice upswing for Hastings who was up about $700,000 before the night for the year (according to HSDB).

I like how hastings decided to cut off the standing pieces of 500/1k action he had in the past for this match (so he had 100% of himself unlike most other times he played this high). I think he knew there was going to be a bloodbath.

I assume they have discussed Isildur yes. Also, anyone see HSDB's EV graphs, obv Hastings WAY up (but still shoulda won over a million). Townsend meanwhile who got beat outta like 750k shoulda won nearly a million himself. These guys appear to have Isildur's number.

i havent looked at the graphs, but it seemed pretty obvious that townsend had his number from the first session he played. i reckon he studied his game for 2 weeks weeks, picked it apart and came up with an optimal strategy to beat Isildur1. It would be fairly easy for townsend to do this compared to a lot of other pro's as he has all the hands from cardrunners count the zero's video, and he probably has interns who load all the hands into a replayer and email them to him!

is it me ( i only railed this match for about 20 minutes) but is isildur as @ss wild as he seems i saw him stick brian in twice and patrik (don't forget for a while he was also playing PA on 2 tables heads up at the same time, brian on 4) with not even weak hands, but total freaking air, forcing brian to twice hero call with top two, PA i think rivered a st8. this was a few minute span. freaking crazy. I wonder if everyone is going to start hero calling him and if he will start to play slower or not. Probably not.

there was a hand from count the zeros on cardrunners that showed a hand where ziggy called down 3 barrels on a board something like QQ743 with K7xx (i think) and isildur mucked.

thats what im saying, if isildur keeps trying to move brian, pa, gus, durrrr, and ivey off hands all the time they will sooner or later rap him. wonder how much bankroll isildur has? I bet if he goes down 10 million he is done

As far as I can tell, with my extremely limited PLO knowledge, Isildur is very hyper, but last I saw him against Townsend, he did lay down a lot of hands on the river, after betting the turn/getting called there. I can only guess these should probably have been tossed on the turn or maybe even before.
Think he likes scary boards more than might be good. So if someone grows the brass to fight back in the same style, he could maybe be in a world of hurt. Alas, only up to page 11 of my first ever PLO book
I do hope Isildur will adapt to whatever tricks they're playing on him tho. Essentially he should be the one with an edge right now, having been able to watch the other guys for months ahead. At least, that's what I'd do if I were to go play those nose-bleeders, rail them for quite a while, make the notes, then enter. Actually, anything else would be pretty crazy.
Quite odd his not playing NLHE with them any more. Thought that was his best game or something?
