40/80 Badugi - beginner question
4 handed 40/80 mix game. I have $250 in my stack and plan to reload after the badugi round ends.
UTG raises, BTN 3bets. I have A2Q2 in the BB. I go all in. They both call.
Draw, 2, 1, 1. I catch two bricks, and UTG and BTN check.
2, 1, 1 again.
I catch an offsuit queen and a brick.
UTG bets, and the BTN calls.
Should we draw 1 to A2Q or draw 2 to A2 here? I'm not sure if I'm better off going for a weak badugi or just trying to go for a better one.
I'm uncertain what is better, but I figure the pros of drawing 2 is that if UTG is value betting a good 3, we still have a decent number of outs to improve, and we have a shot of beating something like a Jack badugi, even if we are a big dog to do so.
On the other hand if we just keep the queen, we have a better shot of beating a king badugi or good 3, so maybe its worth giving up our 5-15% equity (guessing) and just be drawing dead vs a jack or better, in order to just have a better shot of winning when the queen is live.
Not familiar with the math, which would make this much easier and more clear cut.
