Default Why we love Durrrr

While railing some of the highstakes action at FTP, I came across this hand:

http://www.highstakesdb.com/view-han...?GameID=343580

Iīll admit that itīs quite a dry board and that his opponent either has a full here or decided to bluff and all, but still, you just have to have some big balls to make such a call.
Honestly, I had Martonas on 98, too, but never in life had I had the cohones to trust my reads for such a big sum.

Durrrrīs a true sicko.

PS: That hand fits in into this thread very well, too. (Sry, I cannot get hand histories since the FTP update, so gotta refer to HSDB, should be fine though)

If you bet 200k, it would be a bluff since you don't have it. Like Lee Trevino used to say, pressure is making a putt to win a $100 match when you have $20 in your pocket.

Has Durrrr ever elaborated on when he started to get "it"?. I know he shared he lost his first 50. Father gave him another and the durrrration began. Has he ever shared how long he played SNG's? He had a really good Cardplayer article, but it would be awesome to know specific playing details. It just seems like he literally walked across the finish line ala Usain Bolt.

We love durrrr because he put in the work and it payed off. He played a sick volume and ran it up from nothing. If he lost it all, he's only stuck 100.00. lol. I would just be curious, if this information is possible, when did he start playing ring games or short-handed cash?

I love durrrr because he can play a seemingly hyper-aggressive style in a very controlled way, if that makes sense. His value bets are in relation to what he thinks you have, and he seems to be very close if not spot on most the time. His NLH game is sick. However I think he needs to hang up his PLO game.

Yeah, Your opponent is either 100% or nothing here. Durrr guessed nothing. Sickness.

if he guesses correct more then 50% of the time then he can make this calls and make money even if he misses here and there.

lol yea its an easy call..... wtf are you kidding?!

pendulous: he never busted that first 50. he said he was down to like 13, and didnt think his dad would let him put another 50 on so he really had to not go broke.

he deposited for the 2nd time ever a few weeks ago to play that monstrous session against martonas in which he won 1.3mill

theres some good info on durrrr in the "deal me in" book. i havent read it, but i saw the excerpt on cardplayer...

oh and durrr didnt guess about anything
