How to follow the WSOP
The 2010 WSOP is fast approaching, with the first open bracelet event this coming Friday. I'll probably be creating a thread each day covering all the bracelet events starting that day for people to discuss the tournaments.
Some places where you can find tournament updates:
Live Reporting | 2010 World Series of Poker | PokerNews
Live Poker Coverage - WSOP, WPT, EPT and more - PokerListings.com
World Series of Poker 2010 Schedule of Events - CardPlayer.com
Bluff Magazine - Poker Magazine, News, Rankings and Results
For some good blogs and other sites talking about the WSOP:
Poker News, Strategy, and Tips - Free Online Poker - ESPN Poker - ESPN
www.taopoker.com
Pokerati | Texas Hold'em and Las Vegas WSOP Poker Blog
Wicked Chops Poker ? Poker News, Gossip and Hot Girls
Hard-Boiled Poker
Riding the F Train
Ultimate Bet Blog | Online Poker Blog
PokerStars Blog - News and Live Poker Tournament Coverage
Online poker blog and poker news from PartyPoker.com
Poker Blog from Full Tilt Poker by Michael Craig
Poker From The Rail
http://www.wsop.com/pdfs/2010/2010-Media-Guide.pdf
For those who like to listen/watch WSOP content, PokerNews will have frequent video updates, PokerListings is scheduled to do a daily live pre-show during the WSOP, and PokerRoad Radio will have episodes 4 days a week, Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday starting May 28 with Jeremiah Smith as the host. Also, The Poker Beat will still air weekly (?).
For those who use Twitter, you can follow @WSOP, @WSOPTD, @WSOPLiveAction as well as @pokernews, @pokernews_live as a good starting point. I'm sure the PokerRoad Nation will make its return, it's currently on the front page of PokerRoad.com
Live streaming of select final tables is scheduled to appear at ESPN3.com I (Formerly ESPN360). No schedule or international partners have been announced as of yet, but expect something before the WSOP starts.
At PokerRoad, there are several contests available to forum posters to participate in, which appear as stickies at the top of the Live Tournaments forum with varying levels of entry fees.
I'm probably just scratching the surface, so any ideas on additions would be greatly appreciated.

You see he's just Kevin Mathers...
Just a regular guy, I don't know why all the fuss about him.

Press release repost -- doubt this will lead to 'scooping' but it will make me lazier than normal.
ATTENTION MEDIA:
In an effort to better streamline information pertaining to the World Series of Poker, there are several changes taking effect with the 2010 WSOP as it relates to statistics dissemination.
Please read the details carefully, as they provide insight into how things will work for this summer’s WSOP.
1. We will no longer send multiple emails out daily with entrants, payouts, results, photos, etc.
2. Instead, we will post all the information on WSOP.com as quickly as it can be processed – and allow you the ability to download/copy it from there. So instead of pushing information out, you will be able to self-serve and pull information at your leisure.
3. The information will be sorted by Event #. So you will go into the WSOP.com event portal page for the event you want, and from there, you will see PDF documents or printable/copy-able pages of information. (Most documents will be in the top section of the main event portal page).
4. Available to you will be the following:
Entrants Lists (including hometown & seat information) PDF
Prize Pool & Payout Specifics (total prize pool, pay by place)
Final Results (names, place of finish, prize, hometown) PDF
Winner’s photo (official winner shot) JPEG
Official Report (Nolan Dalla’s Official recap of event) PDF
5. Format – the two standard formats we will use are PDF and JPEG. (Note Microsoft Excel documents will no longer be an option).
6. Timing – Information will be posted on WSOP.com as soon as it’s available.
Entrants Lists – for 12 noon starting events, it is estimated that registration lists will be on WSOP.com at 4 PM. (This is because registration officially closes at approximately 2:30 PM and tournament staff takes about 30 minutes to verify final number of players. From there, it will take us about 60 minutes to gather all the entrant data and post it.) For 5 pm events, we anticipate having the entrant’s lists posted by 9 PM.
Prize Pool & Payout Specifics – for 12 noon events, these should be ready by 5 PM on Day 1 of event. For 5 pm events, by 10 PM on Day 1 this information should be posted.
Final Results – approximately 90 minutes after the conclusion of the event.
Winner’s Photo – approximately 90 minutes after the conclusion of the event.
Official Reports – approximately 8 hours following conclusion of event. (An unofficial, unedited, abbreviated version should be ready 90 minutes after the conclusion of the event.)
We will continue to email you newsworthy events, but expect this to be much less frequently than you received email contact from us during past WSOP’s.
