Your thoughts about the announcer are poignant, though. I noticed not only in that video but in Daniel's Tweets and the PokerNews updates that there is a lot more attention placed on the fact that Barry hit a 2-outer on the river rather than the fact that Barry got it in good and Daniel hit a 5-outer on the turn. That hand evolved just as it should have...undoubtedly it was a "dramatic" and "exciting" way for the hand to play out but it's silly for anyone that knows anything about poker to repeatedly say that Barry got "lucky" to win that hand.
As if to reinforce my point, I noticed that Daniel tweeted earlier "Climbing back from losin with AA to A5 for the title." For anyone that wasn't following the final table, the natural assumption would be that they got it in pre-flop. Unfortunately, we tend to overlook that they got it in on the flop after two hearts hit the board and Barry was only around a 39% dog.
