The Pro-Log
The Pro-Log Episode 1 : Small Stakes Grinder Host Spartan and Tyresias
Whew! First show finished. It was a lot of work but it was fun learning the new programs I'll be using. Small Stakes Grinder Podcast host Spartan comes on and talks to me about his podcast and beginner mistakes (after the interview, he pointed out a few I made, too) . His blog can be found at Small Stakes Grinder - Attempting to break through the World of Professional Poker
Tyresias was the guest on Hand Analysis today, reviewing these hands from my down fall session at 5nlh.

The Pro-Log Episode 2: Interview with Barry Greenstein
Wow, only 2 episodes in and I got one of the biggest names in poker: Barry "Bear" Greenstien on the show! It was amazing how much more details his thought process is compared to mine. I hope to get as good as poker as him someday, so his insights really helped out.
One thing though: He took up a whole hour! Not that I mind, but I didn't have any room for another segment. Oh well, less work for Uni, right? Just sit back and drink the knowledge from the Barry Fountain.
He did the Hand Analysis section. And these were the hands I gave him.

Just listened to the ep. 2. Barry was great. It was funny he pointed out that all the hands were winners, I was thinking the same thing. Good job. Will listen to ep. 3 asap.

Enjoying the podcast. Something that I noticed with the way you discuss hands (which was particularly evident in the episode with Barry & to a lesser extent in the episode with Escalante) is that you seem to be far more concerned with the WHAT rather than the WHY in terms of hands you play. You are so focussed on getting the technical details right (pot size, suits of cards, etc) that you lose sight of explaining or trying to understand WHY you should take a particular line over another, or why you can narrow a villains range of hands based on their actions, etc.
Just my thoughts ...
