Default The Donkcast
Thought I'd add something else poker-related to the internets.

My blog includes a podcast (2 episodes down) which has an Australian focus (me being from Australia & all) & will serve as an online diary for my trip to the USA, which starts in a few days (playing some events in the California Champs at Commerce in LA before heading to Vegas for WSOP & other tournament series).

The Donkcast

So far its just me flying solo, but I'm happy to take guests.
Regular segments include:
News (tourneys in Australia)
TV Sickness (analysis of a televised poker hand)
Tour Stories (thoughts about cardrooms I have played in)
as well as soem stuff about strategy & learning poker.
And yes, the focus is mostly on live (brick & mortar) poker rather than online.

Episode 1 is about 30 minutes & episoide 2 is about 60 minutes. I think I'll be aiming for around the 30 minute mark in future though, but I'll see how it goes.

Possibly ... though I would like to get at least some feedback on the current episodes.

I'm also flying to LA tonight, so should be updating the blog on a regular basis, regardless of when the next podcast occurs.

The USA travel diary is off to an inauspicious start ... the joys of running middle set into top set, opponents binking 2-outers on the turn when all-in pre-flop & putting my opponent all-in when he is holding a straight flush ... and that was all in a few hours!
Should I book the plane home now or stick it out??

The Donkcast to read more of the adventure ...

Ten days into the USA trip & one decent tournament cash to-date.

Will probably try to get a new episode of the podcast together in the next few days as well.

The US travel diary is also continuing, with the LA segment of the trip finishin tomorrow with a morning flight to Vegas.
Still looking for feedback on the shows so far, as well as possible people to interview while in Vegas.

Things are looking up! 1-0 for tourneys in Vegas after finishing in 4th today in the Omaha hi-lo at the Orleans (made a 5-way deal, so got a bit more that 4th place money). Lets hope the run can continue ...

In other news, finished 23rd in the $1500 HORSE at the WSOP, so I've got my name in the books at the World Series (although it must be said that losing an extra buy-in to tax is horrible!)
