Default Rabbit Hunt Changes + This Week w/"The Micros" creator John Wray

So many of you have complained to Mark and myself about the lack of some of the old segments we did when we were "Small Stakes Grinder," and starting the episode out today we've decided to listen. So from here on you can expect the following from The Rabbit Hunt:
  • News
  • Interviews with Guests (not just them helping w/hosting)
  • Hand of the week w/Analysis from Cardrunners instructors
  • Whatever we think you'll want to hear

Can't promise it all EVERY week, but hopefully this will fill the void that the listeners have missed and liked from our old show.

This week's show featured all of the above with John Wray, the creator of the hugely popular poker video series "The Micros." We talked to John about the success of the series and how it came about, and additionally had him help us with our hand of the week.

Follow @TheRabbitHunt on twitter for updates on the show, and additionally if you would like to submit a hand of the week you can link it to us on that twitter account, or just PM Mark (spartanfox) or myself on the Pokerroad or Cardrunners forums.

Thanks to everyone who listened in 2010, and we hope you guys enjoy the changes we've made for 2011!

Hey Mark, Matt curious to hear what u guys think the impact on training sites will be due to recent events. I feel fairly confident the big sites such as Card Runners and Dueces Cracked will most likely survive this, but wondering how big a percentage of customers of these sites are US players?

Neither Mark nor myself have significant details on how much sites like Cardrunners rely on American players to stay afloat, but I'd bet on most of the big ones staying alive. They may end up producing less content due to tightening their belts, but I know Cardrunners isn't going to disappear anytime soon.
