On an unrelated note, I found the worlds best artist. A guy named Jeremy Lipking who is only like 35. Check out his work online, its absolutely incredible realist stuff. For example:

To my mind its as good as old masters stuff. This kid is cranking them out, its incredible. They are like photographs. Plus he always paints hot women it seems, which is a good choice to my mind.

Look at the hair in the above, and the feet in this one. It's incredible, its like a high quality photograph, and then he makes it better, like a optomist's overstamp of reality. This guy is GOOD. Unfortuneately, its not as if he is undiscovered or anything, the stuff is already pricey.

optimist, unfortunately. terrible at spelling. someone smart once told me to let things go like that, like handwriting, if your not good at it, let it go. not sure how wise that is. it is convenient.

Hello Everyone. Hope you are well. I have been out of poker for some time and I wanted to write about why.

As you know, poker is absorbing. It takes a ton of time to be good, particularly online and that time can eat into your life. Much like Escalante, poker was causing some problems in my life. Nothing serious, but I should really be practicing law full time and not thinking of myself as a fledgeling professional poker player. No bull****, to be brutally honest, I'm just not good enough for that.

I do love the game, and I will be back. Never surrender. But, I urge you folks, the folks who are massively into as I was, to keep a carefull eye on your personal relationships, your career, etc. ..keep a carefull eye on your "real" life. Poker is fantastic, so fantasic that it has a way of creaping up on you and eating away at your personal relationships and career.

Most of you are younger and I suspect poker mostly takes from schooling. Dont do that. College and education is precious, far and away the best time of my life and Im glad I didnt miss a second of it absorbed by poker. (I am 41, and only discovered poker at age 38 or so). Anyway, poker will be there later, go to school, date a girl, date a boy, date a walrus, but dont f aroudn with poker at that stage in your life.

Be well my friends. All of my friends here are more than welcome to give me a shout, check out my website for he legal practice to get contact info. For that matter, your all welcome in Colorado at any time, particularly any of you college age types who want to explore the mountains or see Denver.

Its gonna be at least a year before I get back at this wonderfull game, Ill holla at you folks sometime.

Please find me on facebook people. I have reconnected with a few poker buddies there and welcome keeping in touch during my break from the game.

There is so much out there, having a good deal of fun not playing, really. I am into the Jeremy Lipking's art and other art, reconnecting with friends and reading a ton of stuff, and dating again. I have probably lost about 30 pounds! Feel great. I have so much more free time. Again, poker takes alot of dedication to be done well, and sometimes a break is in order. Remember that. Don't hesitate to take a break if you feel you may need it. I will probably be more balanced about it when I do return, because I was able to recognize that I needed to put it in perspective.

Anyway, Facebook people. don't make me stalk you!!!

Peace
