So, with the 2+2 debate raging over twitter, I return to my PokerRoad blog thread that I have neglected for far too long.
I've gleaned several poker forums over the past few years, and it seams that a new one pops up every week or so, just as another goes bust.
The reality is, that there are only a handful of notable poker forums that are recognized components of the poker community. (Emphasis added so as not to be confused with "representative"). Of all the forums that I've had to post things on for either marketing purposes or informational purposes, PokerRoad has been the only forum where I have never felt like a stranger and have always felt safe.
If I could delete my profile on certain other forums, I would and if the private messages that have been sent to me where in fact, representative of said certain other forum's community as a whole, well then - that's just sad. The absence of female contributors to forums is not that we are not interested in participating, it is because many of us simply don't wish to subject ourselves to the firing squad.
Anyway, I just want to say that I appreciate that PokerRoad has been a friendly forum for me, and although I don't really visit the forum very often anymore - the website as a whole is one of my favorite stops on on the information super highway.
Thank you to the PokerRoad Forum community.
