he decided to try to torch $11 preflop with, defending his small blind, which is not even close to being the point of the story.
My question is about my turn bet sizing. Seat 1, to whom I talked later about it, said he likes a thirtysomething bet more than a fortysomething bet in that spot, that it's a good spot to exercise a little pot control. Taking into account the fact that he's a much better poker player than I am, I'm inclined to believe him. Any thoughts on any part of the hand are fine. It wasn't a super interesting hand, but I realize the potential long term savings of chopping down the bet size a bit, especially when you're near the bottom of your range. I always like to know when I can get the same result for fewer chips.
