Lol 6th funny story but I live about 3 miles from Winston Groom ( actually he is only here part time) Ive met him a couple of times very cool guy. Not a fan of his work though.

Is that line from the book? I only know the movie.

Similarly, we have a Davisite named John Lescroart who has written some pretty successful crime/legal thrillers. Hard Evidence, Damage, The 13th Juror, etc. I've never read any of it (I'm a non-fiction nerd) but I've been told he's a cross between Robert Ludlum and John Grisham in terms of subject matter. Still surprised he hasn't had any of his books adapted for the screen.

So your guy has my guy beat.
