How would YOU affect the poker boom?

Pokernews published an article today as part of a roundtable discussion, with the first question asking the participants to go back to January 1, 2003 to name one thing they would prevent or change in regards to the poker boom.

It features responses from the Bear, Jeffrey Pollack, Matt Savage, Nat Arem, Matthew Parvis (editor of Bluff), blogger Dr. Pauly, and poker agent Brian Balsbaugh but figured it'd be interesting to see what responses the poker fan and others would generate.

Honestly I feel if I won the main event there would be a lot more female players playing. I think there are so many stay at home Mom that could benefit from playing poker. I think at this point in time the next huge poker boom should be the women taking over!

The mind boggles. I would have to agree that if I would "time warp" and have an effect I would focus on better coordination of sponsors and development of a marketable public image through shows and a lobby. Hindsite...20/20.

There's a huge market of female poker players waiting to be tapped. I honestly think 'when' a woman takes down the main event we'll see the next boom.

I agree on both parts, women and better mainstream integration. Either or will do the trick for the next boom.

I believe Annette is now 19 or 20. I've got the feeling if Tiffany Michelle made the final table in 2008, the majority of the online forum community still wouldn't care for her. This also goes for any female player who isn't considered "hot".
