Hi all. As the PokerRoad community has been one of the best group of supporters I've had for Life's A Bluff and my Random Questions segments, so I wanted to beta test something here.
I have a rather large notebook full of Random Questions that I whip out when I'm working with my interviews and sometimes cull the "best of" and mix them with new stuff to keep things different at each stop. However, some of the funniest ones have come from kicking the idea around with other people in the poker media. (Or pestering it out of them...I'm never quite sure which.)
What I thought I would do is put it out there for you guys and see if you had some solid "Random Questions" of your own you'd like to have answered.
To give some direction to something that is fairly directionless seems odd, but to put you in the right frame of mind I'll throw a few out there and why I like them.
"What song to you want to have playing when you die?" -- I like this as it gets personal, its off-center enough where the interviewee has to think and there are multiple ways of coming to an answer. (Sad, happy, heroic, etc.)
"Where is the stangest place you've ever woken up and how did you get there?" Great to get a story going and let the interviewee shed some personal light on things.
"Cows: Friend or Foe?" Just weird, but its good for a topic/mood changer and can let the interviewee know they can be silly.
"Who do you want to be when you grow up?"

If you don't have any quesstions, I always like interesting answers, so feel free to answer away just to contribute. Good answers tend to make for great follow-up questions.
I hope to start inserting one RQ 2.0 in every interview and sighting the person that submitted it...that's the only reparations for your IP that I can offer.
