Phils intro's into the WSOP have me torn. I understand the marketing side, for boht UB and Harrahs, there are some fans you are into it. It is begining to sound of this years that it went from annoying and self-stroking, to annoying, tacky and self-stoking.

So, PH tweeted today that he is going to make a "surprise" entrance to the WSOP today in costume with ubiquitous pretty girls. Round 2, I guess.

I have such a hard time believing he can be well-adjusted enough to function at all and have this come from some personal drive for constant recognition. I don't know what is driving this, but I can hardly think of anything that looks weaker than someone knocked out of a tournament, coming in and trying for spotlight time.

I think he needs a new contract or new advisers. Poor Phil.

As much as I hate seeing Hellmuth whine and bitch, I think to be fair to him you have to remember the guys who have shown up dressed as dogs, bears, Spiderman and god knows what else in the past.

I kind of marvel at what he comes up with every year...BUT I think he will NEVER win a WSOP again with the circus atmosphere he brings to the table and his complaining about other players probably makes other players play differently towards him than they would another player.
