Default Where is The Poker Mind?

This is one of those threads I make that show how clueless I am. So, I finally click on the homepage for PokerRoad and find this really nice set-up for content display, and I go to the Poker TV part and find these two fabulous interviews with Nick Shulman and Jimmy Fricke. I mean, longtime, mainstream network interviewers would kill for these articulate, self-aware, honest subjects. The stuff is fascinating.

No comments. Did you all watch them and are there discussions here someplace I can't find with the search? Are there more before these two? I couldn't see any list.

Holy cow, there's a ****pot full of genius around these parts.

Lis, are you asking for past episodes or past threads discussing the episodes?

If the former, you can find the archives on the lower right of the TPM screen under Episode List. From there, it works like your typical blog page (with which I already know you're familiar).

If you're looking for threads, well, there haven't been a whole lot of them. AL-FX always posts an announcement for new shows in the "Other PokerRoad Shows & Suggestions" forum, but most have gone without a reply.

I recently watched the Jimmy Fricke vids, very enjoyable. There are a bunch of them dating back to 2008. Also, the play by play are awesome. I fell into the trap of always coming to the forums and not spending much time on the home page. Been catching up on a ton of great stuff.

yes and yes - and thank you

I guess I'm just nonplussed at how these two interviews about men with what look like diametrically opposed lives come to essentially the same place have gone unremarked. I mean, who knew Shulman played in the underground NY card clubs? (everyone but me?) And still does, I guess. And Jimmy coming from the small town and suddenly he's halfway around the world at this prestigious televised Final Table, no wonder he looked like a deer on meth caught in headlights (not meant as any insult, I have huge respect and liking for said Mr Fricke, but y'all know what I mean) and then becomes this guy with huge insight.

And huge props to Amanda for the lost interview art of letting the subject talk.

Viking: I stopped going to the homepage because the old one was too visually confusing for me - and made a similar error to yours - only for a longer time!

Off to find more old shows following Wilbury's beadcrumb trail....
