I'm with the choir on the AMC shows. That network is on fire right now.

One show I didn't see mentioned that I really enjoyed was Luther on BBC.

Stars Idris Elba as a tortured police detective. Great performance from him, and being a British show the full season is six episodes so you can bang em out in a day.

Boardwalk Empire was pretty great as well.

As I said...just assume I co-sign this man.

As someone who listens to Comedy Death Ray Radio and Doug Loves Movies...this show has basically featured everybody that has been on these podcasts. So it's pretty cool to listen to them talk about a little and then watch the show.

I'm back to rewatching Friday Night Lights now. I saw about 3 seasons before I got lost in their weird airing schedule, but this show is pretty good, except for a few stupid plots that I can remember. I needed to add a drama after finishing Mad Men (the best show on television). Plus, football is heating up and I love it. FNL is pretty moving and has some good acting, and also Esquire's hottest girl of 2010.

Anyone see Shamless? When jrw mentioned it, I hadn't heard of it. I don't usually watch any new shows, but if it gets decent critiques, I might give it an early chance, because I love Emmy Rossum. And Britain has a decent track record of exporting shows over here.
