Can we get an official language policy?

I had one of my posts edited, which is fine, but i didn't think what i said was all that bad. (it was a euphamism for the male anatomy that rhymes with wick and in the context of quoting the cub) Anyway, i don't want to create extra work for the mods, so if i could just get an idea of what the limits are i'll happily stay within them.


I am a little suprised that language is going to be monitored so tightly considering what poker road radio sounds like...

Meh. We don't monitor language toooo much. I think people get the gist of what you say even when it is bleeped. The reason for the language thing is because we expect a wide variety of people to look at our forums. We have to keep it fairly PG-13 as Barry puts it. We don't want young poker enthusiasts being banned from viewing our site because their parents see too much profanity or vulgar language or jokes here.

remember this is a public forum, and if its not work safe or something you could read while the school board walks past your office desk, then i wouldnt post it.

yeah, it's not a problem, i just wanted to know where it's at.

i've been to plenty of public forums for the discussion of topics much less adult than poker where literally *anything* goes.

I was just suprised because it wasnt like a dropped an f-bomb or even an ish so i wanted to know where the line is. not a big deal to me, but if i know where the line is, i can bleep myself instead of creating extra work for mods.
