Patrik and Robert Mizrachi were on the Circle of Outlaws or whatever that was called way back in the day.

Strong memory ... I had forgotten about that. It was a group of young players with some connection to Marcel Luske. I think this was around the time that Patrik Antonius made his first WPT Final Table. (December 2005)

I have heard the rumor about Antonius-as-backer from several sources coming from different directions, so I'm inclined to believe it.

Insider here, clearing up some faux pas and other misconceptions from June 10th Poker Beat.

BJ Nemeth said that the WSOP Tournament of Champions overlaps the second day of the $25k 8-game mixed event. As far as I know, this is a 6-handed NL Holdem event.

Great episode guys!

Nope....incorrect. B.J. specifically said that it would conflict with the $2,500 8-game mixed which does indeed start one day before the TOC (6/26).

Oops. My mistake. Sorry BJ. I guess that's why I'm not the Insider.
I listened to it a couple of times because I thought BJ wouldn't get that wrong but I swore I heard thousand instead of hundred.
