Poker Beat will have to wait a few days. Michalski is out for personal reasons, as are Gary and Jess. BJ and I were the only panelists available, so rescheduling for one day this week.

Willing to act as guest Skype panelist to discuss David's win as I'm an IRL friend (and to dispel forum rumours that my British accent sounds like Austin Powers).

I've got the shakes from not getting new TPB in my ears
Why is it a problem if BJ and Huff are the only ones who can do the show?
Two Beats in the Hole, with Scott and BJ!
no?

Another "is it good for poker" topic for the News Briefs (emphasis added):
Quote:
SCRANTON, Pa. -- A former receptionist-turned-struggling sales representative for the northeast regional paper company Dunder-Mifflin, Pam Beesly-Halpert credited episodes of a popular televised poker show for a recent promotion in the workplace.
A native of Scranton, Beesly-Halpert had joined the sales division at Dunder-Mifflin (NYSE: DMI) after briefly departing the company for a local independent office-supplies outlet. However, her sagging sales record combined with the costs of the birth of her daughter drew her to solidify her job security. Beesly-Halpert decided to create a new work title for herself: "office administrator."
Unfortunately, such a position did not exist in the company's organizational chart.
Beesly-Halpert was met by resistance from Gabe Lewis, the coordinating director for emerging regions for Sabre, the Florida-based conglomerate which purchased Dunder-Mifflin in the fall of 2009. The shrewd Beesly-Halpert convinced Lewis to approve the new title by appealing to his desire for new office furniture and a door nameplate.
Beesly-Halpert credited late-night reruns of the World Poker Tour for her negotiation strategy. "You play the opponent, not the cards," she told the documentary filmmakers who enter their sixth year of chronicling the DM workplace.
The World Poker Tour, which made its Travel Channel debut in 2002, airs the final tables of a series of high-stakes poker tournaments bearing the same name. Now carried by Fox Sports Net, the show is in its ninth year.
Also assisting her promotion was the lack of supervision in the office when the negotiations took place. Regional manager Michael Scott was busy undergoing mandatory counseling after engaging in a physical altercation during the previous week. Toby Flenderson, the company's human resources contact, was administering Scott's sessions. Furthermore, husband Jim Halpert and assistant regional manager Dwight Shrute -- both of whom outrank Beesly-Halpert on the organization chart -- were on assignment at the nearby Steamtown Mall.

Awesome.
Pam's such an angle shooter.
But, she might have some real skill. She did KO her future husband in a casino night bracelet event.
Kevin Malone a baller though, he actually won a lowball bracelet.
