On Sundays, Huff is too busy tweeting about his thrilling fantasy football exploits.

Give it a month or two and they'll have worked their way back to recording on Thursdays.

Is Huff s***ting us? You don't think Phil Hellmuth is a good enough player to represent Poker Stars? ARE YOU F***ING RETARDED (no offense)??? Yeah, he's not Phil Ivey, but he has FOR SURE done enough as a player to be a Stars player... WPT final tables this year, two recent bracelets, numerous WSOP FTs recently etc. Let us just look at some of the US pros on Stars' roster:
Tom McAvoy
Chad Brown
Dennis Phillips
Victor Ramdin
Even the likes of Vanessa Rousso and Barry Greenstein don't exactly have dozens of wins recently. I'm not saying any of these guys are undeserving, especially the later two (although McAvoy is stretching it), but I think it's absolutely ridiculous to suggest Phil isn't a good enough player and doesn't have the results to be a Team Pro. Lets just dial down the anti-Hellmuth feeling for one second and remember that the guy still has good recent results (was a winner on DN's old WPT spreadsheet thingy that showed how people did). This doesn't even address quite how incredibly marketable he is (it would be pretty horrible for either Stars or Tilt to lose him for their shows - PAD and The Big Game both benefit from him showing up).
If he's unattached he is quite simply the most valuable 'free agent' there has been in poker for a VERY long time (if not forever) - only Ivey, Daniel and Doyle can claim to be more valuable as marketing tools, and that may be debatable (on which note, you obviously wouldn't make the same comment if it was Doyle who was free, although his results <<<<<<<<<<< Phil's).

Hmmm, I'll have to listen to this segment again. I remember it being more of a "he's not a good fit for PokerStars" rather than a "he's not good enough for PokerStars" type of argument.
This said, I would think Hellmuth would fit right in with PokerStars, which seems to emphasize (and perhaps overemphasize) the former Main Event winners.

I agree with 6th. I read 5carab's comment after I listened to the show, I don't remember Huff saying Phil wasn't good enough. The talk was around which roster he'd fit better, but I'll listen to that bit again at some point.
The most important question though is will whatever site picks up Hellmuth be ok with him continuing his pathetic WSOP entrances?

He said that he didn't think Hellmuth had the results to get a sponsorship and then they had a discussion about the ME champs not having many results. I would go back and find the timestamp, but I'm lazy.
