For the Two Jacks fans among us, that entire news story could have been a special Poker Beat edition of a Round-Robin Joke-Off.

Man gets arrested for pleasuring himself at the poker table...

...evidently, he misread the rules, thinking it was "one hand per player."

...in a twist of his father's warnings, the player's unusual activity caused him to blind off.

...clearly he was a first-level player -- he acted based only on the strength of his own hand. (Okay, okay, clearly there are a plethora of "hand" jokes.)

...unfortunately, he had been drinking heavily and could only manage a min-raise OR unfortunately, he had been drinking heavily, causing the floor staff to reprimand him for "soft play."

...everyone folded immediately as it was obvious he was holding the nuts.

...two tables down, Jimmy Fricke told Howard Lederer, "now THAT'S a freak and a really weird dude."

Default Good/bad

Jeffrey Pollack on another podcast seemed to tip Harrah's online intentions when he said that the new poker room will be Ceasar's branded, not WSOP. It sounds like they simply want an incrementally larger piece of the pie.

My spirits were raised when I heard, " …if you have 15,000 forum posts on 2+2, your dad isn’t proud of you either!” Then, they were dashed when I heard the cover of 'Surfer Bird' used as bumper music. A clear instance of taking the good with the bad.

I started to get a little nervous about increasing my hours on the live felt, but so long as they give me wetnaps, I’m all good.

From what I understand the gentleman had good intentions, just trying to hold his end of the table up.

He was just pressing the action on the button.

Barry Schulman takes it down. Now we just have to wait and see if the other braclet drops.
