i didn't say it's bad to play for play money, i asked why would spend real money only to buy fake chips?

I must admit that almost everybody these days is playing zynga texas poker for fun on facebook , myspace, yahoo or iphone.
The reason they are doing this is either because they want to compete with their friends at those tables or they simply want to do this for personal fun. Guys, not everybody sees this as a business or a money-making industry. It's just fun! Nevertheless, these virtual chips are always redeemable for real money as I've later found out. It's just a roundabout shout out for the stupid play chips for cash website. I had millions in play chips on UB when I first started "learning" the game years ago. Good thing I got outta there before they had a chance to steal them from me.
