I never met Shronk and yet I can't come up with words that convey how saddened I am by this news. My thoughts go out to his friends and family. His passing is a great loss to the poker community

My sympathies to his family and friends.

He came across as a genuine nice guy. Seeing him talk to his mom and I think step father (forgive me if I got that wrong) during the pre-show for one of the first ustream broadcasts of the show and waving to them on camera only confirmed he was one of the good ones.

I didn't know Shronk at all, but this has come as a total shock to me, sad sad news. My lasting image of him comes from the ustream content. Seeing him setting up the equipment and fixing everyone's microphones.

RIP Shronk and my sympathies are with his friends and family.

I am stunned to my core. Shronk was a truly great human being. Makes me wonder why people like me who have truly abused life and themselves (for me I've abused drugs eg Heroin for 6 years, clean now) are still alive while guys like Shronk are taken so young.
