I'm a little late posting this but I knew shronk on another forum and we occasionally chatted on AIM, I was having problems with my wireless router a few years back and he helped me with it no questions asked.
I always thought he was a cool and interesting person, for not personally knowing someone I've taken this pretty hard. I decided to listen to the PRR Shronk show tonight and it was awesome (still playing) for two reasons, one obviously being remembering everything amazing about shronk and a friend of my died last week and helped me remember the best stories we shared together.
Shronk, you were courages to do some of the things you did and I appreciate every minute knowing ya.

wow, i've been busy and haven't listened to the show or been on the forums in a while and came here today to see this.
It's so weird, I didn't know the guy, but really felt like i did from the show and forum posts. I feel way more affected by this than i ever would have guessed.
All the best to the family and friends. He'll be missed by many.
here's a rumi poem:
All day I think about it,
then at night I say it.
Where did I come from, and
What am I supposed to be doing?
My soul is from elsewhere,
I'm sure of that,
and I intend to end up there.
This drunkenness began in some other tavern.
When I get back around to that place,
I will be completely sober.
I'm like a bird from another continent,
sitting in this aviary.
The day is coming when I fly off,
but who is it now in my ear,
who hears my voice?
Who says words with my mouth?
Who looks out with my eyes?
What is the soul?
I cannot stop asking.
If I could taste one sip
of an answer, I could break out
of this prison for drunks.
I didn't come here of my own accord,
and I can't leave that way.
Whoever brought me here
will have to take me home.
.em.

While I'm still annoyed that Card Player hasn't announced anything publicly, their lead tournament reporter, Ryan Lucchesi, wrote a very touching blog today about Shronk in his Card Player blog -- his first blog since the tragedy.
Here's the link (Sunday, April 26th):

Kudos to Ryan.
I still think that if Card Player is to have any self respect as an organization, they better have a very nice tribute to Justin Shronk in their next issue of the magazine. (Or the one after that, depending on their print deadlines.) It doesn't have to be very large -- I'm not expecting a feature article or a cover -- but it better be nicely done rather than a straight news blurb.

good work fellas
Hi,
Been a long time fan of the show and living in the UK obviously never met you guys, or Shronk for that matter, but just wanted to log on and wish you all the best in these tough times. It'll be hard but I hope you guys dig in and make the shows even better to honour the great man! Also I wanted to say how much it was appreciated that you guys did a great job of the Shronk tribute episode. I was listening in my car on my ipod and struggling not to blub like a baby. Nobody in my working life understands poker, let alone what PokerRoad means to everyone, so I don't know how I would have explained my emotions to an observer!! It must have been so hard to keep it together to do that show.
Lastly but most importantly my best wishes are offered to the Shronk family and friends - I hope things get a little easier for you all with the passing of time.

Just listened to a Deuces Play podcast and Bart started his show off with a few words. Great to see just about everybody said something minus our friends at CP.

thanks for a moving show
Hi Guys,
I just listened to your Shronk tribute and wanted to say what a fantastic piece of moving radio it was. The love and respect that you had for Justin and the person that he was, came over so well.
In the UK, we have the Sony Radio awards and i will be writing to them suggesting that this programme is put forward for an award in Justin's name as producer posthumously, for although Shronk wasn't there, in reality the whole show was in fact produced by him.
The was a little sting in the tale for me. As the final voicemails finished, i was so moved by the way you had chosen to segue into The Beatles - A Day in the Life. The opening lines of "i read the news today oh Boy - about a lucky man who made the grade. and though the news was rather sad - well i just had to laugh." It beautifully summed up the previous 2 hours and finally my emotion let itself out. I stopped my car to compose and pull myself together and was shocked to find that in fact my ipod was on shuffle and it just happened to play that as the next song when the podcast had finished. That song out of a possible 3000! It made me wonder whether the Shronk as looking down and having a little laugh!
Anyway - well done to you. A very difficult programme to listen to but without doubt one of the best i have ever heard. A super tribute to the Shronk - you did him proud!

I was in Vegas when I got the news about Shronk. To say the least I was in shock. Vegas wasn't fun any more. The news hit me very hard even though I had never met him in person. In fact I couldn't get myself to comment or even listen to the tribute show until today. Don't know why his death hit me so hard. Probably a combination of things including losing my father last year (leaving me as the only one left of our family).
Too full of life and too nice to die so early in his life.
