He always cared so much about making sure he was in good with you G. It took him a little while (like me) to figure out the GSmith system of affection, but once he did, he knew you loved him like the rest of us - if not more. I'm sure he's glad to have called you, and the rest of the folks on here, family.

Great first post G Smith. I was never able to meet Shronk as i could never make it on the tourney trail. But upon hearing of his passing i was almost brought to tears for someone i never even meet. But then i got to realize that after listing to him over the past several years i almost got to know him better then many people in my personal life. I think it would be fair to say that you will be greatly missed. RIP Shronk Durka Durka Durka

I have read every post about Shronk here and at 2plus2. This is the one that got me. Great tribute to your friend Gavin. My deepest condolences to all that were close to Shronk.

Shronk would be so proud and happy to know you finally posted in the forums. When Sebok first told me that Gavin had posted something, I knew I wouldn't even be able to read it until I had finished work for the day, or I might have lost it in the Fontana Lounge.

Beautiful words and beautiful thoughts, Gavin. Thanks for sharing them with us all.

that is THE most pertinent post I have ever read on a forum. At my demise I hope for friends that hold me in such high esteem.
