It will make my week when I see a poker news photo of you, running around the WSOP in the 100-degree weather, frantically looking for the subject of your next column... but still wearing your Got Shronk hoodie.

Great words, Gary. Thanks for this.

Obvious from your post Gary that you personally epitomize the spirit of the "Got Shronk" movement.

Gary I didn't get a chance to tell you on the phone, but you now have to CARRY the torch for the Poker Media ...You have broad enough shoulders to do this and the heart to carry it out!

It is now 5:17 in the morning, I found out the news last night at about 10ish. Since then I have listened to the tribute show and not slept much. Although alot of us have never met the man, Shronks passing has impacted us all. I think the thing that makes it so, was that Shronk was just like all of us, a fan. Not so much as a celebrity as someone who was just part of the poker world. I tried to find a quote about death that adequately described my feelings at the moment, so went to my favourite one about love from St Paul.

"Love is patient and kind. Love is not envious, boastful, arrogant or rude. Love does not insist on its own way. Love is not irritable or resentful. Love does not rejoice in wrongdoing, but rejoices in the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never ends. Now faith, hope and love abide, these three; and the greatest of these is love."

Just from the tribute show I know that says more than I ever could about Shronk or how his friends feel about him.

One day the pain will pass and hearing the name "Shronk" will bring a smile to my face instead of a tear to my eye. Once again, RIP.
