rememberingshronk.com
As of late last week, I have launched www.rememberingshronk.com as a place to collect all of the eulogies and other Shronk-related information in one place. I've just updated it per some comments from BJ Nemeth (thanks for all the help!), and I invite you all to visit the site and review anything you might have missed in any of the forums or elsewhere. Eventually I will be moving all of the eulogies directly on to my site rather than links so that eulogies posted on private Facebook profiles will be accessible, as well any eulogies on blog sites that may eventually disappear. I hope to maintain this site for years to come as my own personal tribute to Shronk.
For those of you that don't know me, my name is veeRob, and I was a friend of Shronk's. He lived in my home for a few weeks here and there when he was first getting settled in Las Vegas. I wrote my eulogy on my blog, but creating this web site is just my way of honoring Shronk. There's a link on the page to contact me if you see any errors or omissions, so please feel free to use that form.
Thanks, hope you all enjoy.

This is an awesome idea, and I'm glad I was able to provide a little bit of help. But the initial idea, implementation, and all the hard work was from VeeRob.
RememberingShronk.com is why I haven't posted a bunch of links in the forum, like I talked about on the radio show. I knew VeeRob was putting this together, which is far better than a forum post. So anyone interested in the eulogies that I read during the Shronk Tribute Show should check out RememberingShronk.com.
Well done, VeeRob!

It's good that someone is putting this together. We should figure out a way to merge the intern travel fund with this.

This is fantastic. Thanks to both of you guys for putting it together -- any way we can keep Shronk Deezy with us is a good thing for PokerRoad and is a good thing for poker.
Yeah, I said it. It's "good for poker."

Thanks, guys, but all of your appreciation should be directed at veeRob alone, not both of us. He was the idea man and did all the heavy lifting. He asked me for some constructive criticism, and I gave him some. That's it.
I passed along word of the website to Shronk's friend Courtney before the funeral, and she made sure that everyone was aware of it at the services. (VeeRob had it live last week with most of the links, and then did some additional polishing over the weekend.)

Thanks, guys. I used to be a web programmer, so it was a pretty easy job for me to do while playing online poker. Just my way of giving back and giving a sense of permanence to all of the posts. As I told BJ when I first had the idea, my biggest fear was that a web site would go down in a month, a year, 5 years, whatever, and that person's eulogy would be hard to find. I will be working more on the site when I have some free time so that all of the eulogies will be right on rememberingshronk.com and you won't have to go to other sites to read them.
For the record, BJ did help a lot in going over the first version of the site and giving me his notes, so I do appreciate it. Neither of us did this for ourselves, though. Again, I'm just happy to give all of the content a sense of permanance. Take care.
