Bustout Poker/PokerRoad WSOP Promotion

What happened to the promotion where if you buy a shirt from bustout poker you have a chance to win a WSOP ME seat via PokerRoad. Seems weird that there is no mention of it anywhere on the PR website nor the bustout website anymore.

It was canceled due to legal reasons. I'm sure someone higher up can elaborate further.

With great regret and a nice dose of embarrassment thrown in, we were forced to withdraw our promotion due to our wonderful over-reaching government and their obv hatred of anything that even remotely resembles gambling. Basically we learned that our promotion was considered an illegal lottery due to the fact that a person had to purchase something in order to qualify for the drawing. BAH! We have already began work with our attorney in order to try to go through proper channels and stay within the law in order to bring the promo back for the 2011 Series. Unfortunately, there was just no where near enough time to make it happen this year. In the meantime...we are offering a special gift certificate to all those who already purchased a shirt in addition to pre-qualifying them for whatever promotion we put together for next year. It sux beyond words that we were forced into withdrawing the contest and we sincerely apologize to everyone who has or would have bought one of our shirts in the hopes to win the seat! Believe me, no one feels worse about this **** than me but we are a legit company with big plans and long term goals in the poker industry and we could not risk the possible ramifications for us and even more so, Poker Road! As a small gesture for the F%$K Up....we will be offering a special discount for Poker Road listeners from now until the WSOP starts. Thanks for the comment! Always appreciate good ol' constructive criticism! As with anything in life, you can't please everyone and certainly not everyone will appreciate our unique shirt designs or style. That being said, I offer two constructive comments in response to the above:

1- Flaming one of the companies that helps to sponsor this website, you obv enjoy the privilege of posting on, seems not only juvenile but also quite counter productive. If you'll notice, both of the previous two posters above yours shared their similar opinion (in a civil manner) while at the same time showing that they appreciate the value of companies like ours.
2- Probably ought to consider spell check when trying to put down another person or company since it implies that you are coming from a place of great superiority.

Don't worry though, despite the issues I raised above, I will definitely still keep you in mind when we decide to unveil our non-Douche Bag collection! (note correct spelling)
