Default 2-7 TD 200-400 at Stars

Today like almost everyday I was playing in the very tough 200-400 2-7 triple draw game. This one must be one of the worst games online, because the very best players play here and very rarely you can see a new face. I wonder why I play this game and the only reason I can find is that I love 2-7 and I like the challenge of beating the best players. The line up was extremely tough: Savemyskin, Oogee, Maxipaxi, Wrasse and myself Belledejour1.

The following hand occurred:

Oogee raises UTG and everybody folded to me in the SB
I call with 257 and Savemyskin folds in the BB. I discard 2 and miracle, I get 3 4 for the wheel . Oogee discards 1.
I check raise and he just call.

Second draw
Pat, Pat.
I bet, he raises I 3 bet and he calls.

Third Draw:
Pat, Pat.
I bet he raises I 3 bet and call.

He had #4 76542 and lost a big pot. I think Oogee is one of the best players in this game, so I was trying to understand his line here. Of course he can never break and I don't know anybody who could fold his hand. But if he thought his hand was good why not keep raising early. Just for the fact I could break an 8 may be. Of course he was very unlucky and he didn't put me on the Wheel since I discarded 2 cards, but under normal conditions would you play his hand that way?

I would guess his thought process is something like <after first draw> "slowplaying is funny" <second draw> "wow he 3 bet me and belledejour is a nit (this is your image btw) I'm just going to call since 1) I don't want him to break an 8, 2) I could be beat", then <third draw> "Oh wait he drew 2, plus I slowplayed and played my hand weird, I'm going to get more value" <after you 3 bet river> "I've decided I hate my money and Hernan really could use $400 extra bucks so here I cap LOL".

Fwiw when he freezes you on draw 2 I would checkraise him there as standard play.

edit to add: wow that's the worst game ever

Nice analysis DeathDonkey. By the way I watched the two videos you made with Groth911 for Deucescracked and they are oustanding. There is a group of players that have a great understanding of the game and they are excellent player but they play low stakes only. In this group are Groth911, Donkstrike, Tweeprise and even Savemyskin was in this group before, now he is playing bigger. Why do you think is the reason? Bankroll or something else? I know the 200 game is horrible most of the time but when I look the 15-30 or 30-60 sometimes is tougher.
