CO barryg1 $35,261

BTN TheTakeover $43,570

SB Boosted J $41,356.50

BB oogee $20,000

Pre-Flop ($300, 6 players) Hero is UTG+1

A 3 K 4

1 fold, Hero raises to $600, barryg1 calls $600, 1 fold, Boosted J raises to $2,600, 1 fold, Hero calls $2,000, barryg1 calls $2,000

Hernan you play and post good but come on, you're getting 37:5 that he didn't flop a straight flush. What else is there to say really?

Hernan is new to PLO, but has been forced to play it as part of the 8-game on PokerStars. I told him at the time that there was nothing to discuss on the hand except his betsizing on the flop. I assume that's why there hasn't been any substantive repsonse. I was surprised at how many people had something to say about it in the shadow forum.

I'm pretty sure you can also say preflop is a fold with this stack size. I would call A345 but your hand is in serious trouble against Boosted's range here and you have Barry behind you to worry about too.

What is also interesting about this hand is Justin's hand. KJ T 7 he raise the pot on the BB with this hand wich is small underdog to my hand 51% - 49% I don't know if it's a standard play but I don't like to put so much money out of position. Also questionable is his raise on the flop. If he smooth calls I would have put it on botton or medium set and if the board doesn't pair on the turn I shove again and probably Barry has to call. If we were talking about a weaker player I would think he played wrong, but Justin is an excellent player and probably the biggest winner so far in the new 400-800 8 game at Starts. So I think his play deserves some deeper analysis

His hand plays ridiculously better than yours after the flop. On low two pair boards you can hesitate about putting in lots of money but he needs as little as a pair and a gutshot with a few overcards before he can put in the rest just because how often so much more of his hand is live.

Flop play, he probably just figured one of you has the nut flush and would be unable to fold it. It may be exploitable but he avoids bad things happening. If you did have bottom set, it checked around and the turn was a queen, stacking off would still be pretty awful.

Preflop is very thin if there are aggressive opponents behind you, I tend to fold. If your opponents are passive you can raise. Once you are three bet, I would probably fold again, as barry is behind you and could have some weaker aces he flatted with preflop that he now shoves with.

Your flop bet sizing is way to big. There is no reason to bet full pot. You obv have to call when he shoves as he has some semibluffing hands in his range.

As for his preflop play, its insanely profitably if you are only 4 betting AAxx vs him.
