First, I raised this blind because he was folding too much and not 3-bet shoving light.

2nd, I really didn't think he had anything on flop and was planning on taking it away on turn.

3rd, now that we got there, wondering what we think of the line.

Thoughts?

Default hope I'm not being too critical

Bryan,

Even though you caught your gin card, it seems that you caught the only uninteresting card on the turn as far as decision making is concerned. I think most people would have continued the way you did, although you can make a case that against a particular opponent that you "know" you can get it in there and might lose him (or the pot) if four to a straight ends up on the board.

I saw so little to discuss in this hand, that I thought it was a brag post about how many chips you had compared to everyone else at your table at this late stage in the Sunday Million!

LOL, or perhaps a brag about the trainwreck that insued afterwards. I think post gin card line is pretty standard, I posted it more as a do we like floating this spot this deep in the tourney/this shallow in effective stacks... Should have been more clear in OP. I'll try and do a better job of getting myself into crappy spots this week to post more interesting hands .

You have a PSB left on the turn. Are you shoving a blank turn? Are you betting 1/3 pot and folding to a raise? I generally don't like floating with this amount left. If you really think he's weak, just shove the flop. Folding is fine too.

Agree with justin. I hate floating here. Ur not deep enough and its not even close. And if hes thinking anything at all he'll know ur weak if u shove turn after he checks caue it just makes no sense at all to not shove the flop with anything ur continuing with except for a monster.

Also shoving on a turn bet seems like suicde if u ask me.. what makes u think a bad player in the sunday million will fold any hands at all when hes put in so much in and sees that many chips in the pot?

Obv worked out this time, but I think the majority of the time ur gonna end up spewing chips when he bets flop, shoves turn.

Shove or fold the flop next time.

I think shoving flop > calling flop given stack sizes. I do feel that most leads in online tournaments from non good regulars are FOS though, and I raise or float them habitually.

Floating with these stacks on a flop like A A 3 or 2 7 K is fine under some circumstances but doing it on this board isn't good because its so hard to have less than a gutshot and so easy for all of those hands to turn a big enough piece that they decide to fire the second barrel.
