1) How long does seat 9 need to protect his cards? Him getting shipped the pot isn't long enough? Wow.

2) An inexperienced question - Would it have mattered if seat 9 had his cards capped? What do dealers do if the person they're shipping the pot to has his cards capped? Do they uncap themselves and take them or wait for the player to do it?

"The final ruling was that the 2100 come back and seat 5 and 7 play the hand out. Honestly after the fact I really think the 2100 should have stayed in and seat 5 and 7 should have played it out. That's probably what would have happened had I not protested it. It was a difficult situation for the floor IMO and I didn't really help make things easier."

Was the hand all the way in the muck?

Was the stub mixed in as well? If it was are seat 9's cards at the top, middle or bottom? If 9's cards are at the top do you now have to reshuffle with seat 9's cards in the shuffle?

I actually had something like this similar happen to me and I feel like you should never have to suffer for a "dealers" error.

To give you an idea. I shoved my remaining 4-5 bbs w/ Ax and was immediately called by someone. I stood up expecting to be busted/way behind turn around/turn back and my chips are in the middle but my cards had been mucked.

My cards couldn't be identified and my hand was declared dead and I was out of the tournament.

You are expected to protect your own hand I get that. But when your all in and have placed your chips into the pot this should never ever happen. But were all human I guess.

Thats all i have to add to this.
