I fold. This is just a really difficult situation but generally people like to slow play their monsters/the nuts until the river. They try to milk you for everything you have and then panic on the river and want to double up. I think we're behind more often than not in this spot.

Yeah I think the major mistep in this hand is not betting the turn. As played I think I would have checked the river as well. If he insta shoves then I would probably call but when he insta shoves over your bet you are probably best to fold. If you checked the river and he bet out around 10k I would snap call.

Agree. To me, a check by the opponent on the turn seems like either a 5, or a draw. If I checked the turn, I would probably also be checking the river.

Not enough info on opponent to make an informed decision. As played, I fold.

I think everyone is pretty much in unison on what to do here...

I just wanted to say how sick it would be if Villain had 55 here and correctly put you on a big over pair? What a sickly played hand.

edit: Nm, I thought the flop was 2 5 2....2 ....3.

the check on the turn complicates things as mentioned because it appears as you went for pot control.. so that makes a bluff more probable, i would go for the fold unless i have some kind of read. also timing tells are important here
