Poker on ESPN: Main Event Day 1a + Day1b, August 10th, 8-10pm ET
The moment the casual viewer and the poker nerd has been waiting for commences this evening with coverage of the $10,000 Main Event of the WSOP on ESPN.
This week, coverage is dedicated to days 1a and 1b, with the rest of day 1 airing the following week. Always interesting is to see how many members of the November Nine appear in early coverage. I'd have to go back to a previous episode to confirm this, but it looks like Lon McEachern might have rerecorded the explanation of the UTG, UTG+1, etc. I guess ESPN got some flak about referring to the two blinds as "late position" during the 50K and TOC broadcasts. The V.O. sounded different to me, as if looped at a later time from the rest of the audio.

Pfff please. Turn brought a flush, so he could have been hollywooding that. It's day one of the ME people go crazy with much worse hands.I have no idea how you fold a boat in that spot. I'm certainly not good enough.
