Oooh, what's the line up?
Great to finally see this on the telly besides the few rare previous occasions.

Galfond, Dwan, Ivey, Patrik, Hastings. The 6th was Brandon Adams for half the day, and Harrington10 for the 2nd half.

Unusual move for PAD. While a two-person crew tends to work better for a poker show, this runs against the larger ethos of the show. I can't find where I read this, but Eskandani initially conceived Poker After Dark as a variant on IFC's Dinner For Five -- that is, the conversation at the table served as the show's primary focus. We, the viewers, receive a fly-on-the-wall glimpse at a poker game. With two people providing V.O., it reduces the amount of air given to the player chatter.
Not that I hate the idea, mind you, just something different. For this lineup, it's probably just as well -- not many talkative players among the six.

Mori mentioned that there be another pro commenting with Ali on the Final Table podcast for just the PLO cash game. I think he said he was doing this to give additional analysis for the PLO hands. Really surprised that the pro ended up being Andy Bloch. I think virtually any FTP pro would be better going this route.
Also, they will be using four colour decks for the first time on PAD.

Which raises a good question... who would be the best Full Tilt player to provide commentary for a PLO game? Keep in mind, I'm talking from a standpoint of knowing the game AND being able to articulate it well for television.

Of Team Full Tilt, I would have to go with Gus Hansen. Although, he is thought of as PLO fish by some people, he basically just got hammered by some of the best in the world playing online in long sessions. He still knows the game far better than average and is able to articulate his thoughts pretty well, and also can be funny.
Of the rest, I would pick Josh Arieh, Aaron Bartley, Peter Jetten, and Robert Williamson III. RWIII is supposed to be a strong PLO player, although his NLHE analysis was horrid for the Million Dollar Cash Game, he can be engaging while doing commentary. The rest are unproven but should be a big improvement in both areas over Andy Bloch.
