"I'm playing at UB again," Friedman admitted. "I think they took care of me, did right by me. I don't represent them when I say this. I don't want to get sponsored by anyone. I think they did a good job. Not everyone feels that way, but that's how they treated me. I think it's probably a safe place to play now because everyone's watching so closely. I'm not mad at them, but they'll have to live with their rep for a long time."

Oh sure, they didn't pay him to say that. Now that Sebok has sold his soul, all we get are links to UB apologists. Prahlad is obviously a shill and a thief. I'm never listening to PokerRoad again. I'm rooting against Phil Ivey for wearing his PokerRoad hoodie on TV. Sebok is bringing in Russ Hamilton as the new host for All Strategy. I'm pulling my donation to Children Incorporated. Bob obviously hates Huff. Poker is so rigged. Stapes is funnier. Online sites are fleecing poker players for millions with their exorbitant rake. Hellmuth... Two Jacks bumper stickers... Boxing a kangaroo in Melbourne...
*head explodes*
Ah, but seriously -- nice job to G-Wise for another fine article.

Watching those previews brings back fond memories of July. I knew when we were there that weekend that something special was happening but it's fun to see how ESPN has crafted it into their storylines. It's funny that we sat and watched the table with Seebs/Fabrice/ELKY and thought it was the best table ever and it's just an afterthought compared to the superstars that were at the feature tables. Fun stuff...

I understand the spirit of this thread, but Stapes is funnier than Ali and he is a slight mathematical favorite over huff. But only about 52-48.

You stood vigil at Blue 30 much more loyally than I did. I was so tired from the previous day that I went to the featured table where I could sit down. So much of the televised action at the Friedman-Schneider table was very familiar, whereas you'll recognize more of the moments from the table with Seebs, Fabrice, ElkY, Shulman, et al.
For sure, these are the episodes I've been looking forward to since July. I definitely felt it watching last week's episodes. ESPN showed a hand of Prahlad Friedman making a big laydown to that long-haired Scandi -- I have a photo of him making that face before mucking his cards. What's funny is that I've worked many televised sporting events in my life, but the nature of the WSOP coverage evokes a different feeling.
There was one moment on TV that we didn't necessarily see, but I remember it well: John Monnette's bustout. When the P.A. announcer read that off, I recall you and I were smiling about it.

Yeah, all those items in my post weren't necessarily things I disagreed with, just recurring topics on the forums -- particularly in recent days. In my opinion, Stapes is the funniest guy at PokerRoad.

In the pantheon of badly played hands on TV, Scott Cook just moved himself towards the top.

Nice to see two new commercials promoting wsop.com
One for Milwaukee's Best that features Norm and Lon
The other commercial is about WSOP Circuit events

Are you referring to the set of fives? So I guess this was the hand that crippled ElkY. I got back to the table soon after this happened.
