How about for online tournaments? Any set routine you have to get into before you log in and start playing?
Last question: Lets say you get to have one meal where you get to eat and drink anything you want, no matter what it is (much like a death row Last Meal request, except without the imminent death part). What is on your menu?

I dont have a set schedule. I make sure I get a lot of sleep. I dont go out the day before partying, and as long as I eat a good breakfast before playing I feel great.
I dont know what I'd eat. Food is overrated. I dont enjoy eating, I just eat if I'm hungry, not because I think its good. Maybe I'd take a nice steak or something with a coke if I had to chose lol.

Hey Annette
You mentioned in an earlier answer about the Aruba Classic 2007 being the first big Live Tourney you played in. I was at that Tourney and you sat at a $1-$2 cash game on one night where i was playing at the Raddisson. On one hand i was to act after you (i was BB i think) with Aces and i re-raiased your initial raise. However there was a few seconds where i almost didnt want to re-raise you as it may appear orcome across that i may just have wanted to do it because it was you as in new WSOPE champion or i wanted a story for my friends etc.
That of course wasnt the case but my question is do you find that some people may take shots at you with nothing just because of who you are or do the total opposite i.e. dont play premium hands before/after the flop because they dont think they will be able play against you. Do you find that because of your success its one end of the scale or the other.
Thanks in advance

Is Terje Haakonsen still a big figure in Norway's sporting world?

Online my worst tournament downswing was around $20-30k. I had several non cash streaks of 50+ tournaments and it really sucked at the time. (That was before I won wsope) But u cant let it get to u. Tournament variance sucks ass and we cant do anything to control it, but play our best and hope to hold in important spots. Thats why volume is important. If u can squeeze that bad streak of 300 tourneys into one week u wont be depressed for as long as someone who plays 2 tourneys a day and always complains about running bad
At the most I'll play up to 14 tables if I feel like playing a lot, but I try to keep it between 4-8. Thats where I'm most comfortable, and not so bored that I start raising ever hand. It definately hurts to play too many tables because u end up on autopilot, and u miss out on a lot of good resteal spots and picking off bluffs because u havent been paying attention to how ppl play.
Dont know who Terje is :S

1) Can you go into the thought process for that amazing hand in the WSOPE vs John Tabatabai, where you checkraised the flop with bottom pair, he 3-bet and you shipped?
"There's no stopping Annette Obrestad and she is now our chipleader with 705k. Annette raises pre-flop to 17k and is called by John Tabatabai. Flop comes 9c6sQs and Annette checks. John bets out for 21k and Annette raises to 65k, John re-raises to 140k and Annette goes into the tank eventually announcing all in. John goes into the tank for over 5 minutes and eventually folds and again Annette scoops a huge pot"
2) Who's your pick to take down the WPT five diamond?
3) Favourite film?

In the hand with John there were so many factors in play that I dont even know where to start. First of all, we had not played against eachother before. I knew that he knew who I was, and that he had heard from others that I'm nuts... which I confirmed to him in the hour that lead upto that hand. I also knew that he was rly aggressive and that he plays very similar to me. So looking back I think it was a mistake by me to even play a hand like 62s when hes on the btn because hes gonna be defending and 3b'ing a lot.
Once I decide to play the hand , I dont wanna give up very easily against when when he flats the btn because I know his range is huuuge. The reason why I decided to c/r instead of cbetting is because if I cbet, I know hes not folding... its that simple. If hes got crap, he'll raise. If hes got a pair or any piece he'll most likely call down. So with me being outta position I figured the best way to end this hand quickly if he doesnt have anything is to c/r and get it over with and move on to the next hand. If he called, I was shutting down.
Now when he comes back over the top again, and u start thinking about what hands he can realistically have that he would play that way, I was stuck. I couldnt see any. QQ+AQ+ hes for suuuuure 3b'ing preflop so he doesnt have that. Q9 I think is very unlikely because I dont think he'd make that small 3b size on the turn with it because he allows me to fold out all my bluffs, so I think he'd just call and slowplay to get more value because my line looks a little fishy. 6s are also unlikely because I have one in my hand. The ONLY hand I was scared of was 9s to be honest, but even that I think he rr's pre a fair ammount of the time and since his range is sooo polarized to either the nuts or air, I knew that air was a much bigger part of his range than 9s lol. I also didnt think he'd ever have a big draw here, because why in the world would he reraise so small and make me think I had fold equity on a shove when he coulda just sticked all his chips into the pot without it being a big overbet, and give me a chance to fold out hands that would otherwise shove and be ahead? So I went with my read, and I valueshoved my bottom pair 2 kicker and was right.
Dont know whos playing the WPT. If I cant play in the tourney, I give a **** lol.

You know what? Ppl can take as many shot against me as they want. I couldnt care less. The fact that they do, just means I get more donations. Yes, I'll get bluffed off a hand once in a while, but I usually get the chips back when they try the same thing again.
I didnt even know I played any 1-2 in Aruaba last year... thougt I played 2-5 most of the time. Were we sitting next to the slotmachines outside of the poker room? If so I think I remember, and I had a couple of drinks that night... could be why I dont remember

Hmmm, I like this thread, so I've got more.
6. I just re-listened to your appearance on PokerRoad Radio (6/25/08), including the listener questions that followed Joe Stapleton's interview. One of the questions came from "jarooty" in the AIM live chat: "will you marry me?" Of course, you apparently get this quite often, as your answer was "get in line".
Not counting the anonymous/semi-anonymous offers that show up from the rail (real or virtual), how often do the guys at the table get flirty when playing against you, and do you find ways to use it to your advantage?
7. To spare me from having to hunt through the 2+2 archives, what was the real story behind the whole "pink house" rumor?
8. Given your success in rebuy events, what is your take on the WSOP's discussion to discontinue rebuy tournaments for fear that they provide opportunities for more-rolled players to "buy a bracelet"?
9. Other than the actual outcome -- poker players know better than to be completely results-oriented -- how would you describe your play during your heads-up match with Doyle Brunson?
10. My friends in academia are big believers in the concept of docendo discimus. Although you consider yourself a completely self-taught player, have you found that being an instructor with PokerVT has also helped you improve your own game?
Thanks again!

Can I transfer you some monies on Tilt in exchange for an autographed 8x10 photo of you at one of your live tables?
Would appreciate it?
