Heads-Up, Canadian Open Poker Championship

The Main Event of the 2009 Canadian Open Poker Championship began yesterday, and according to an article in the Calgary Herald, 93 players decided to compete, paying $5,000 each for a chance at a top prize worth about $100,000.

Players attending this year's heads-up main event included Brad Booth, Antonio Esfandiari and last year's winner and reigning NBC National Heads-Up Poker Champion Huck Seed

PokerRoad's Gavin Smith is also once again in attendance for the event and will join  Phil "The Poker Brat" Hellmuth while there, to receive Calgary's prestigious White Hat Award.

The Main Event of the Canadian Open Poker Championship is scheduled to conclude this weekend.
