WASSUP '09: Event #47, Barry At The Final Table
June 26, 2021

After a tough Day 2 of the 2009 World Series of Poker Event #47- the $2,500 Mixed Hold 'em, that saw the end to many PokerRoad favorites, "Poppa PokerRoad" Barry Greenstein, has found himself at yet another final table and within striking distance of another WSOP bracelet.

Barry had one of the larger stacks throughout much of Day 2, but unfortunately a series of rough hands towards the end of last night's play now finds him as one of the short stacks of the final nine.

Of course it could be worse, some of the players who made it deep in Event #47 only to be forced to leave their seats before the end of the day include Jeff Madsen (49th), Daniel Negreanu (37th), Andy Bloch (32nd), Allen Cunningham (15th), Mimi Tran (13th) and Bryan "Devo" Devonshire, who bubbled the money with two other players, earning himself a two thirds share of 54th and 53rd place (a little more than $3,000).

The final table of Event #47 is set to begin today (6/26) at the Rio at 2 p.m., at which time Barry (and his 193,00 in tournament chips) will once again join top players like Hasan Habib (114,000), Karlo Lopez (941,000)  and 2008 WSOP "November Niner" Ylon Schwartz (286,000), as he attempts to earn his fourth WSOP bracelet as well as win some valuable Player of the Year points, to augment his numerous well publicized POY prop bets with PokerRoad's Daniel Negreanu.
