After 10 Months, South Carolina Catches 27 Evil Poker Players
April 7, 2022
A poker raid in South Carolina, which may have been the result of a ten-month long investigation, lead to the arrest of 27 players and to the eventual suspension of a South Carolina deputy prosecutor. The 13-year veteran public service worker was unlucky enough to be playing in the busted game that night and was put on unpaid suspension due to what his superiors called a "magistrate level offense."

Authorities seized $40,000 from the raid, and claimed the "organized poker operation" in question had been going on for at least ten months and even had paid employees. Dawn Reyes, the wife of husband Martin Reyes, vehemently disputes both of these claims.
