Day 2 Of The APPT, Don't Blink
September 5, 2021
Day 2 of the PokerStars.com Asian Pacific Poker Tour Macau Main Event, moved like a runaway fright train. The pack of 208 players that started the day was cut in half by the fourth level of play. Many notable players fell during the day, including Harry Demetriou, Johnny Chan, Chad Brown, Joe Hachem, Isabelle Mercier, Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier, and Chris "The Armenian Express" Grigorian, who had the unfortunate distinction of being the day's bubble boy.

Only 39 players remained by the end of the crazy Day 2, and very few pros made the cut. However, there were some notable exceptions including John Juanda, David Chiu, and Quinn Do. Do ended the day with only 31,000 in chips and is officially the smallest stack left in the field. After a Day 2 in which so many of his fellow pros bit the dust, he's probably just happy to still be around.
