Gettin' Settled Pre-WSOP
June 1, 2022
Boy it's been an amazing week.  Probably the most productive week of my life to be honest.  Monday morning I woke up on a mission to find a new place to live.  I moved in with my brother under the assumption that everybody else in the hosue would be out by June 1st, in time for me to have a home to call home by the start of the wsop.  It turns out that I was wrong and that people weren't going to move out, and I'm getting a little too old to deal with drunk people being loud at 6am when I'm trying to sleep before a tourney.

I called a place Friday on my way to the Grand Canyon.  I didn't start there because I wanted to be objective and thus started on the southeast corner of town working my way toward the M on the south side.  The place I called ended up being my 2nd stop and remained my favorite throughout the day, and after a few hours I returned to Adiamo and locked the 2 bed 2 bath 2 car attached garage 1200 square foot apartment for $1115 a month.  Paid the first 3 months cause they wouldn't let me pay more, deposits, fees, etc.  Stoked.  Moving company hired, gas switched, power switched, internet scheduled for install, things are looking good.

Tuesday wake up, arrange with movers to meet me at the storage unit, do so, empty it in an hour, to brother's house to get the rest of my stuff, and into my apartment.  One hour into moving in I felt more centered than I have in years, something about having my own place that I knew that I could shape into my sanctuary just made me feel good.  I spent most of the night moving and making a $500 Wal-Mart run.  Woke up the next day, spent all of it moving things around.  Felt great.  Thursday was DMV stuff and finishing touches, shot some PokerVT video, and plopped down on my LoveSac in my own home.  Registered for the $1k WSOP event #3, my first one, starts Saturday at noon.  Very stoked.  Life is good.  Excited for the summer.

Peace and good luck,
